How we support our students
All sixth form students are incredibly well supported by a team of tutors, teachers and support workers.
They meet regularly to discuss anything from academic progress to current news topics. Year specific friendly tutor groups form a strong bond, supporting each other, with a focus on personal development as well as advice and guidance about careers and higher education.
The tutorial programme delivered by tutors and students covers a wide range of topics relating to health and well-being, study skills, topical issues and ethics. Progress is monitored regularly with strategies put into place if needed. Every student is well known and cared about.
Students receive high quality and impartial CEIAG through the tutorial programme, enrichment, their tutors and access an independent careers advisor meeting in addition to many external speakers and activities. The pastoral support in the academy for sixth form students means that support is given quickly and effectively.
